FAQ - Kate Payne Portraits


How things work:  You contact me to arrange  a consultation.  We can chat on the phone, via Skype or I can come to you.  This is where I ask questions about what you are looking to do and we confirm a date.  

You pay for your session in 2 installments.  Half when we schedule and half 48 hours prior to the session.   

What is your refund policy?  If you are unable to make the appointment and contact me within 48 hours prior to the appointment I'm happy to reschedule within 90 days.  

Prints are not refundable however you can request reprints if you are unhappy with the professional lab results.  I have never had an issue with them and they are guaranteed !

After the session what happens?  I work on retouching your images and selecting the best ones.  Within a week you receive a link to view and download your images based (10 for studio and 15 for lifestyle sessions) with an option to purchase additional images. You can also order prints, framing or mounting. Prints and Wall Art are mailed to you directly.

Do you accept credit cards? Yes, absolutely.  During the consultation we will book the date and I will send you the invoice for 50% and the contract for your online signature. A week prior to our session I send you another invoice for the balance that is due within 48 hours prior to your session.

If you cannot pay the balance, the first payment retainer is available for reschedule within 90 days.

Where are the on location sessions? Your home, your back yard or at one of the majestic locations the world has to offer.  I also shoot at 5 locations in the Phoenix area.  They include parks, mountain views, the river, the desert, or a pond or lake.  All are fantastic for sunrise, sunset and everything in-between. During the months of June-September sessions are limited to in studio or your home or another indoor location in the Phoenix area.

Where is the studio? I’m located in the 85041 zip code of Phoenix Arizona, that is 15 minutes southwest of the downtown area. My studio is a cozy area in my home where we have complete privacy.  

Do you travel to clients? Yes! I have wanderlust and love to go to my clients.  Any location outside the Phoenix metro area is subject to travel fees.  

Do you provide the wardrobe for the shoot? I can help find what you need either by helping you find where to purchase or rent the perfect outfit. I have a limited supply in my studio wardrobe for studio sessions however everyone is unique so during our consultation we will discuss what photographs well.
